About Me
As the son of a Army pilot, we were moved many times in my youth. This lifestyle had three big impacts on my character that stuck with me to this day. First, I am very adaptable in any situation. Next, I love to travel and seek-out new adventures in new places. Finally, I turn to technology to help me in new situations.
Having to start over every few years forced me to adapt to new cities, schools, and cultures. The greatest adaptation challenge occurred at ten years old when we were relocated to Fort Clayton, Panama. This experience taught me a great deal on how to adjust to fit the present situation. I have used this skill to fit in to several different job cultures, as a pharmacy technician, from a Walgreen's in south Tucson, to a top-ranked hospital in Indianapolis, and positions at both the Phoenix and Tuscon VA Hospitals. Adaptation has been the key to advancing my career as a pharmacy technician and staring the MIS program as an older student.
Moving as a child and living in a foreign country has instilled in me a love for travel. When I was younger, I would take every opportunity to travel. When a chance to travel came up the only question I would ask was "when are we leaving". This attitude has allowed me to explore much of the US from the Southeast to the Northwest and everywhere in between. After meeting my wife, my travel style has been refined. I plan my trips now, but this has allowed me to travel to exciting locations in Europe. With the addition of my children, my travels have slowed, but we still take trips as often as feasible.
When relocating, I would use my knowledge and excitement of technologies to help me fit-in to new situations. I have used this passion for technology in every job. Every time a system would change or we add a new piece of technology, I am the first in line to learn it. This drive has help me to become more valuable in my jobs and lead to exciting opportunities . The aspect I find most enjoyable about technology is the way in which it enhances our lives. Automation leads to efficiency and saving, and I wish use my skills and knowledge of technology in my future employment.
